About The Sew London Project



Kemi Oloyede is the Creative director of the Sew London Project.

She has 20 years experience working in secondary and further education – art and textile technology. A fashion designer of many years she took the bold plunge to set up The Sew London Project which runs sewing classes, workshops and a sewing club as well as providing a bespoke fashion design service. She is a passionate about ethical fashion and her label Recyclothes.com and she offers a course all about recycling items into gifts and objects of use.

The SEW LONDON PROJECT is based in Barking, East London.

At the Sew London Project we offer a range of sewing from beginners to advanced and textile workshops,Tye and dye, up-cycling , painting and drawing.  We aim to provide classes to both adults and children where we will share the skills of turning fabric into wearable art, using basic shapes, step by step instructions incorporating simple professional sewing techniques and incorporating f
